Hello.
We have a Dec/2005 Ford Focus C-MAX. It has a known issue with the ABS/ESP (Electronic Stability Control) system, throwing a "C1288" pressure transducer main / and primary circuit permanent fault. ABS itself still functions, but the ESP light in the instrument cluster is on. Since I don't care for the ESP option, I'm looking for a cheaper way the "fix" the problem (for the upcoming annual inspection). What are my options to getting rid of the ESP light and fault? Is it possible just to reprogram the car to disable the ESP option or do I need to get a used ABS unit ((without the ESP) would it also need reprograming to "introduce" it to the car)?
Thanks,
Kustas
